Sigil #2
Marvel's 2011 revival of CrossGen's Sigil hits its second issue with a cover by Jelena Kevic Djurdjevic that practically leaps off the shelf — a red-haired young woman, a glowing sigil blazing on her chest, scrambles across the deck of a tall ship while a bearded pirate armed with a cutlass and a bald, snarling crewman close in behind her. The dynamic angle, churning seas below, and billowing sails above give the scene real urgency, hinting at a story that blends modern teen energy with swashbuckling high adventure. With Mike Carey writing and Leonard Kirk on interior art, this CrossGen relaunch has genuine creative firepower behind it.
