This April 1980 Charlton humor magazine captures the post-election frenzy perfectly, with Jack Sparling's caricature-packed cover depicting a chaotic footrace of exaggerated political figures jostling for position — all while a gap-toothed, goggle-wearing child mascot hawks "Dr. Huckleberry Fink's Tootsie Balm for Sore and Aching Feet" from the middle of the pack. Sparling's rubbery, expressive linework gives each oversized head its own personality, and the "Post-Election Blues" banner at the bottom sets the satirical tone perfectly.
