Charlton's long-running humor magazine Sick serves up its June 1979 issue with a wonderfully chaotic cover by Jack Sparling — a chess-playing armored knight and a donkey are surrounded by an exploding tableau of sharks, rockets, screaming figures, a scuba diver, and general Hollywood mayhem, all tied to the issue's promised "Boom Boom" look at Tinseltown's action-movie obsession. Toss in teased content spoofing Mork & Mindy and Taxi, and this 75-cent Charlton package packs a lot of satirical mischief into one gloriously cluttered cover.
