In turn-of-the-century Pennsylvania, Evans Baptiste—a former Haitian immigrant—finds himself drawn into a dangerous bargain when Mr. Gardner requests his help securing labor for a remote silver mine. "Ghostly Spirits," written by Don Glut and illustrated by Benito Gallego, unfolds with a creeping sense of dread, as old customs and forgotten spirits begin to stir beneath the earth. The cover, by Sanjulián, captures the eerie stillness of a landscape holding its breath.
