Issue four of this twelve-part DC anthology series spotlights Guardian & Firebrand, Dr. Fate & the Shade, and the Demon — a compelling lineup that shows DC's mid-1990s anthology ambitions at full stretch. Lee Weeks's cover delivers a striking close-up of a helmeted, yellow-skinned figure in a green costume, jaw set and glowing green energy crackling around him against a dark, ink-splattered sky — tense and atmospheric without overstating itself. With Brian Augustyn writing and Scot Eaton on interior art, this is a fine sampler of DC characters who rarely shared the same table of contents.
