Showcase '93 #5

Issue five of DC's 1993 anthology series brings together an unlikely trio — Robin charges forward in the foreground, bo staff in hand, flanked by a blue-skinned Blue Devil wielding his trident low and a yellow-and-green-suited Geo-Force surging upward behind them, all three bursting through rubble and flame. The tagline "The Take Down!" sets an appropriately urgent tone for Doug Moench's story, brought to life inside by artist Kieron Dwyer and inker Dick Giordano. José Luis García-López's cover pencils and inks tie it all together with dynamic energy and crisp superhero storytelling that made DC's anthology format so appealing that year.
