Shorty, a pint-sized cowboy, dreams of becoming a hero and earns money by doing chores, eventually finding a "golden" nugget at a high-class hotel that he believes will make him rich and famous. When Shorty attempts to retrieve the nugget from the hotel where he found it, he encounters a gang of thieves who are also after the gold, leading to a chaotic confrontation. The issue also includes an "Arcana Abracadabra" feature showcasing various magical practices and mystical figures, such as wizardry, necromancy, and fortune-telling, along with a separate story about Wiggy, a young tribal wizard and medicine man.
