Shi Xiu #3

The third chapter of Shi Xiu — Reine des Pirates arrives with "L'Appât" (The Bait), and Qing Song Wu's artwork sets an immediately tense mood: two armed men in period naval dress stand in the foreground aboard a tall ship's rigging, their backs to us, while a lone woman holding a parasol waits between them on the deck below — poised, composed, and very much the calm center of a gathering storm. This 2013 Franco-Belgian series continues to blend high-seas adventure with a strong central figure, and Wu's rich linework and color give the ship's ropes and sails a genuinely atmospheric depth. If you've been following Shi Xiu's voyage, this instalment looks like a compelling next chapter.
