Sherlock Holmes Society #2
The fog-shrouded streets of a Victorian London set the mood perfectly for this second volume of Sherlock Holmes Society, written by Sylvain Cordurié with art by Eduard Torrents. Ronan Toulhoat's cover is genuinely arresting — a gaunt, top-hatted figure in a tattered long coat strides menacingly forward, one hand outstretched and the other gripping a blade, his grotesque face suggesting something far more sinister than an ordinary criminal. "Zwart zijn hun zielen" (Black Are Their Souls) promises the kind of dark, atmospheric mystery that makes this Belgian-published series such a compelling addition to any Holmes enthusiast's shelf.
