Sheridan Manor #1

Ma Yi's atmospheric cover for this 2022 Belgian horror album sets an immediately unsettling tone: a pale young woman in a white dress sits serenely in an ornate chair before towering iron gates, while two black dragon-like creatures perch on either side and ghostly pale faces peer up from the misty ground below. Behind it all looms Sheridan Manor itself, brooding under a full moon with bare, grasping trees completing the gothic tableau. Writers Jacques Lamontagne and Melina Pasanikolakis promise a descent into something called "De poort naar Gehenna" — the gate to Gehenna — and this cover makes it very easy to believe every word of that title.
