Seriepocket #68
In "Gangster-Clark kämpar mot Stål-Luthor," Superman faces off against a ruthless criminal mastermind in a story written by Leo Dorfman and brought to life by the legendary art team of Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson. The tale takes a surprising turn when Superman recalls a poignant encounter on a prehistoric planet, where he met Althera, a warrior woman from the alien world of Vrandar, whose people live in a Stone Age society. The cover, by Dick Dillin and Joe Giella, captures the clash of worlds and ideologies in a striking, dynamic image.
In this alternate take from Seriepocket #68 (1978), Jor-El’s escape from Krypton carries not just Clark, but a hidden son—Lex-El—who grows up on Earth as Stålpojken, a hero forged in steel and shadow. When Clark Lang, a man with a criminal streak, crosses paths with his childhood friend, the two are drawn into a collision of ideals, loyalty, and the weight of their shared past.
In "Hemligheterna i Stålmannens fästning," Stålmannen is drawn into a memory of a distant planet where he once met Althera, a warrior woman from the alien world of Vrandar. Their bond, forged in a time of quiet wonder and unexpected connection, is tested by a truth neither could foresee—love that cannot bear children.
In "Fånge i de odödligas värld!", Stålmannen and Robin arrive at Hudson University to quell unrest during a peace demonstration, only to be captured along with two students by two brothers who survive by stealing energy from superbeings. Trapped in a hidden realm where the immortal are imprisoned, the heroes must unravel the brothers' desperate motives before their own powers fade.
In "Fienden i Ensamhetens fort," a criminal crashes his plane near Stålmannen's fortress and is pulled from certain doom by the hero himself. Drawn into a dangerous alliance, he gathers a band of fellow outlaws—including a disguised Lex Luthor—on a daring mission to infiltrate and plunder the fortress.
In "Den dödliga smittan," Stålmannen is besieged by the shape-shifting entity Zohtt, who invades and takes control of his body. With help from Kandorianska läkare, he fights to purge the alien presence, but their methods prove ineffective—leaving him trapped in a battle for his own mind.
