Tarzan och Roden räddas undan Ludons kviv på offeraltaret av Zomangikrigare. I tumulten dödas Ludon Vikingaöversteprästen/hövdingen. Zomangi och Tarmangani sluter fred, Alure och Roden får varandra. Tarzan kan återvända till världen bortom träsksjöarna. Väl tillbaka i sin älskade djungel hör han ett kvinnoskrik. Han skyndar till platsen och ser en man och en kvinna attackeras av en panter. Just som Tarzan ska döda pantern för att rädda paret stoppar mannen honom.
