Lank La Grone är skyldig gangstern Hippo Hyde en stor summa pengar och blir mördad av Hippos torped, Skakis Gatz. Gatz dör dock själv när han försöker fly från Kerry Drake. Innan han dör så avslöjar han att Hippo ligger bakom mordet. När Kerry kommer till Hippos kontor, så har denne redan flytt till sitt lantställe och träffar där sin hustru, Goldie. När nu låneaffärerna måste ställas in, så föreslår Goldie att de fortsätter med sin kokainsmuggling. Kerry och Johnny Colt får nu ledtrådar som leder till smugglingsligan.
