Groo the wanderer has never looked more beloved — or more bewildered — than on this Sergio Aragonés cover, where the gap-toothed barbarian and his faithful dog Rufferto stride forward while an enormous, jubilant crowd waves signs reading "Groo Our Hero!" and "Long Live Groo" behind them. It's a wonderfully absurd scene that sets the tone perfectly for "Man of the People," the opening chapter of a four-part story.
