Sensational Spider-Man #28
Part of Marvel's 2006 "Spider-Man Unmasked" storyline, this issue presents a striking image of Peter Parker — in his red-and-gold Iron Spider suit but with his face fully exposed — crouched against a classroom chalkboard on which "Mr. Parker" has been written in plain view. Clayton Crain's painted cover work gives the scene a moody, photorealistic weight that makes the unmasked hero feel genuinely vulnerable rather than triumphant. Writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's story title, "My Science Teacher is Spider-Man!!", tells you everything you need to know about the collision of worlds this issue explores.
