“The Secret of the Amazing Bracelets!”

In "The Secret of the Amazing Bracelets!", Al and Mary take a peaceful boat ride that turns chaotic when two liners head for a collision. With quick thinking and the help of his incredible strength, the Atom—Al—intervenes, lifting a boat clear and bracing the ships apart with his arms. His dive to the sea floor reveals a hidden operation involving super-magnetic steel, but the source of the danger remains a mystery. Penciled and inked by Jon Kozlak and Joe Giella, with a cover by Harry Peter, this 1949 adventure blends suspense and heroism in a classic Sensation Comics tale.

Al and Mary are on a pleasure excursion when the boat looks as if it will collide with another. Changing into the Atom, Al lifts the boat clear out of the water and prevents an accident. Then, two liners are spotted, also on a collision course, whereupon the Atom swins between and keeps them apart by the sheer strength in his arms. Diving to the sea bed, he finds men sprinkling super-magnetic steel, which is causing the potential accidents.
