An anthology of detective stories featuring three cases: "Disappearing Diamonds," in which Detective Winston and Detective Ripper investigate a jewelry store robbery and murder; "Trail of Terror," in which a man named Mark Dorgan is attacked by a stranger but rescued by chance; and "Behind the 8 Ball," in which two petty criminals with the aliases 584 and Triggerponola are caught stealing a dress and implicated in a bank robbery, ultimately leading to their interrogation and confession about a larger heist.
