“The Dreadful Disc!”

In "The Dreadful Disc!" from Secrets of the Unknown #146 (1974), a scientist’s mysterious teleportation device wipes memories and sends a willing convict to a new location—only to find himself entangled with a fellow inmate who’s lost his past. As the two form a bond, secrets begin to unravel when the convict discovers he’s been robbed, but the man he robbed claims to have no memory of the crime. Art by Al Eadeh brings the eerie sci-fi premise to life, while Bill Everett’s cover captures the unsettling tone of the story.

A scientist creates a device that will teleport those who enter it to another location with amnesia. He offers his services to a prison warden. A convict agrees to test it for two weeks to get out of the stir. He meets his partner in crime with amnesia and becomes friendly with him and robs him of the job money.
