DC's Secrets of Sinister House #5 (July 1972) delivers 52 pages of gothic dread, headlined by a story ominously titled "Death at Castle Dunbar." Nick Cardy's cover is a masterpiece of atmospheric terror: a terrified bride in a flowing white gown and veil clutches a lit torch as she pounds desperately on a massive iron-knockered door, a skeletal hand reaching toward her from below while pairs of glowing eyes lurk in the darkness on either side.
