The final issue of Secret Wars Journal closes out Marvel's 2015 Battleworld anthology on a tense, unsettling note — fittingly titled "Risk of Infection." Vanesa Del Rey's cover depicts a battered, bandaged young woman in a medical coat, blue beret, and worn boots, sitting wearily with a futuristic pistol in hand and a medical cross patch on her sleeve, her expression caught somewhere between exhaustion and grim resolve. It's a quietly striking image that sets a moody, survival-tinged tone for the story inside, brought to life by Aaron Alexovich, Diogo Saito, and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg.
