Secret Warps: Ghost Panther Annual #1

Part 3 of Marvel's Secret Warps event delivers one of its most striking mashup concepts yet — the Ghost Panther, a fiery fusion of Ghost Rider and Black Panther whose flaming skull and Vibranium-laced chains dominate the foreground. Surrounding this wild hybrid are an equally inventive lineup of warped characters: a She-Hulk-style snarling green figure, a Captain America-uniformed woman crackling with mystical energy, Spider-Man 2099, a caped Iron Man variant wielding a hammer, and a white-costumed Ghost Panther counterpart wreathed in blue flame. Carlos Gómez's cover art packs all of this gloriously chaotic energy into a single image that makes Al Ewing and co.'s "Days of Future Mars" feel like exactly the kind of inventive, anything-goes storytelling that anniversary annuals were made for.
