Sea of Sorrows #3

The third chapter of IDW's maritime horror series delivers a cover as unsettling as the deep itself — a massive, corroded hull looms diagonally out of the darkness while a lone figure is flung helplessly through the void above it, surrounded by what appears to be a swirling storm of snow or sea-spray. Alex Cormack's stark, detail-rich linework transforms the wreck into something almost alive, its scarred metal surface pressing against a pitch-black expanse that feels genuinely suffocating. If this issue's cover is any measure, Rich Douek's story continues to find new ways to make the ocean feel like the most terrifying place imaginable.
