Sea of Red #7 from Image delivers the brooding, blood-soaked atmosphere this series does so well, with a close-up of a long-haired, bloodied figure whose red-rimmed eyes radiate menace and barely contained fury. Framing the top of the cover are tarot-card-style panels depicting a dancing skeleton and a robed figure holding scales — imagery that sets a darkly medieval, fate-laden tone. The creative team of Remender, Dwyer, and Harmon clearly have a firm grip on the gothic horror mood that makes this series such a compelling read.
