“I, Slime”

In "I, Slime," writer Al Hewetson and artist Maelo Cintron deliver a surreal, meta horror tale where real-life figures Fredric Wertham and Len Darvin confront Skywald Comics' staff—including Hewetson himself—over the company’s horror titles. Tensions escalate in the office, culminating in a shocking murder that triggers a bizarre, nightmarish retaliation when tiny, living versions of the company’s classic monsters emerge from the pages to exact revenge. The story’s wild premise is rendered with striking, eerie art, and Vicente Segrelles’ cover captures the tale’s unsettling tone with chilling precision.
