Scooby-Doo #14

Something's gone very wrong at the parade! Dan Spiegle's cover for this November 1996 Archie Comics issue shows Shaggy frantically warning Scooby-Doo to run — and it's easy to see why, with a snarling red dragon creature looming over the city streets and a ghostly polar bear lurking just behind them. The cover dialogue says it all: that creature isn't part of the parade, which sets up "The Balloon Busters" as a mystery with some seriously oversized trouble, brought to life by the Evanier-Spiegle team spotlighted right on the cover.
