Scooby-Doo #114 promises high-altitude holiday chaos, with Shaggy and Scooby visibly terrified as a ghoulish, grey-feathered turkey monster looms over them — all apparently unfolding on what looks like a very precarious runway or rail. Robert Pope's cover art captures that perfect balance of spooky and silly that makes this DC series so endearing, with the enormous winged creature dominating the scene in genuinely unsettling fashion. If "Turkey Terror at 2,000 Ft." is half as fun as its cover suggests, this 2007 issue is a great pick for fans of the gang's monster-of-the-week adventures.
