Issue #25 of Scooby Apocalypse delivers a genuinely tense cover, with a battered, bandaged Fred shielding Daphne as they're surrounded by a swarming mass of grotesque monsters pressing in from every direction beneath an emergency exit sign. Howard Porter's cover art sells the "Last Stand!" tagline completely — the torn clothing, the sheer number of creatures clawing at their feet, and the desperate body language all convey a gang in serious trouble. As a bonus, the issue also promises a Secret Squirrel backup adventure, making this a satisfying double dose of DC's post-apocalyptic cartoon reimagining.
