Science Foot #2

From Pierre La Police and Éditions Cornélius comes this wonderfully absurdist 2018 French album — Science Foot — where the beautiful game collides head-on with science fiction. The cover says it all: a footballer in a black number-2 jersey sits astride a massive, machine-like vehicle flanked by enormous orange mechanical claws, a lone soccer ball resting at his feet against a vivid blue background. It's a deadpan, gloriously strange image that promises football and futurism in equal, unpredictable measure.
