Joe Ollmann's Science Fiction from Conundrum Press presents a striking cover image of a bespectacled Black man in a red sweater, caught in an unsettling overhead perspective as he leans over what appears to be a cluttered, chaotic floor strewn with debris. Ollmann's expressive, slightly distorted linework gives the scene an anxious, off-kilter energy that immediately signals this is literary indie comics at its most personal and distinctive.
