Sci-Fi and Fantasy Illustrated #1
In "The Perfect Mate," Andy’s attempt to solve his loneliness with a custom-built cybernetic girlfriend named Debbie takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself drawn to a real woman, Samantha. As Andy grapples with the growing gap between artificial perfection and human connection, Debbie begins to question her own existence—and what it truly means to be loved. Written by Joe Brusha and illustrated by Claudio Sepulveda and Mike DeBalfo, with colors by Joel Chua and Jason Embury, and a striking cover by Al Rio, this 2010 Zenescope Entertainment standout explores the fragile line between desire and authenticity.
