Charlton's Scary Tales #22 (October 1980) delivers exactly the kind of supernatural dread this anthology series did so well, with a cover by Rocco "Rocke" Mastroserio that sets the tone immediately. A menacing male figure in a tuxedo grapples with a terrified bride while the translucent, accusing ghost of a man looms above them, his speech balloon issuing a chilling warning — "You can't marry him, Mary! He's a cold-blooded killer… and I'm the one he killed!" — as horrified onlookers watch from the shadows. It's a wonderfully unsettling scene that captures the romance-meets-horror flavor Charlton perfected, featuring the story "The Triangle" alongside interior work by the multi-talented Pat Boyette.
