Jock's cover for Savage Wolverine #9 takes a striking painterly approach — two tiny figures stand silhouetted atop a vast crimson landscape beneath an enormous, hazy moon that dominates the sky. The sheer scale of the terrain dwarfs everything, giving the image a haunting, almost otherworldly stillness that feels far removed from the feral action the series is known for. It's a beautifully atmospheric 2013 entry in the run, with Jock's moody color work doing as much storytelling as any action sequence could.
