Savage Avengers #13

The cover by Valerio Giangiordano packs the entire ragtag roster into one brooding, tension-filled composition — Black Widow armed and alert at the center, Conan sword in hand, Wolverine with claws extended, a fierce warrior woman in a red headband, and in the shadows a glowing demonic figure and two more fighters flanked by what appears to be a sorceress, all framed against the gaping maw of some enormous creature looming in the dark. Gerry Duggan, Patch Zircher, and Java Tartaglia bring their unapologetically brutal Marvel series to issue #13, titled "Bang, Right to the Moon" — a chapter title that promises the story lives up to the cover's restless, anything-can-happen energy.
