Die 85-jährige Sarane sieht während einer Taxifahrt einen alten Mann der sie an ihre Zeit in den 1920er Jahren im Senegal erinnert. In Rückblenden wird erzählt wie sie dort einen Autounfall in der Sahara hatte und von Tuaregs aufgefunden wurde.
