Thierry and Josiane argue about the film she wants to see and they angrily leave each other. With no date, both decide to work late and end up writing letters to end their relationship. An unusual fog rolls in that night and they drop their letters in a mailbox they don't remember being there. But neither can sleep that night as they realize their letters were a mistake. They decide to try to find the mailbox to retrieve their letters before it is too late. They find each other instead and apologize to each other. The mailbox is never found, but we see their letters lying in the street.
