When Santa Claus dispatches his messenger Crystal Snowflake to scout a new location for a branch office, her journey takes an unexpected turn when her plane crashes near a colony of white penguins. Discontent with their plain appearance, the penguins are delighted when Crystal paints them with bold black markings—so grateful, they decide to establish a South Pole branch of Santa Claus Industries.

Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly man who despises Christmas, is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his former business partner, Marley, who warns him that three spirits will come to guide him. The Ghost of Christmas Past takes Scrooge back to his lonely childhood and a painful memory of losing his fiancée, while the Ghost of Christmas Present shows him the joy of his clerk Bob Cratchit’s humble home and the fragile health of Cratchit’s son, Tiny Tim.
