Volume 4 of Paru Itagaki's Sanda arrives with a quietly unsettling cover: a sharp-featured, dark-haired man with a knowing smirk holds up an ID badge between two fingers, his expression somewhere between amusement and menace. The loose, expressive linework and muted watercolor palette that Ki-oon's seinen line does so well make this figure feel instantly compelling — someone clearly used to being in control. If you've been following Itagaki's work, this 2025 release is exactly the kind of character-driven tension you'd expect from this series.
