Jack, clad in a red hooded cloak (as are all the other pilgrims) attends a large gathering in the castle of The Master of Time. The Master announces he is working on a Time Talisman that will ensure everyone is in their proper place in the time stream. That night, Jack sneaks into the castle, is caught and forcibly ejected, in the trash. After getting a bowl of noodle beef soup, he notices an issue of "Mercenaries and More" on the ground beside him, where he sees an ad for a Get-In Get-Out Specialist. They meet, and it turns out to be The Thief.
