“Acorralada”

In "Acorralada," Leila’s restless night after a heated argument with her boyfriend spirals into an unexpected journey when a sleeping pill fails to take effect. As she wanders the streets, exhaustion overtakes her—and she wakes up in jail, her final moments before arrest marked by a quiet, heartfelt confession to the officer who found her. Penciled and inked by Antonio Romero, this poignant story unfolds with quiet intensity, while Rafael Busom’s cover captures its mood of vulnerability and tension.

[Unable to sleep after an argument with her boyfriend, Leila takes a sleeping pill. Since it doesn't seem to take effect, she goes out for a walk. However, she falls asleep on the street and wakes up in jail—though not before confessing her romantic regrets to the cop who rescued her.]
