# The Saint #5 The issue contains at least two stories. In the first, judges investigate a horse race sabotaged with nitrobenzene poison that causes blindness; the culprit is revealed to be Marbles Malloy, who poisoned the winning horse Blue Blazes to prevent it from racing. In the second story, titled "A Musical Mystery," a radio show guest singer becomes entangled in a dangerous scheme when she is kidnapped and held captive in a frozen room, leading to a search and rescue involving the authorities.
