This French-language edition of Saga Tome 9, from Urban Comics, opens with one of the series' most quietly affecting covers: three figures — a horned young man, a laughing girl with small horns and dark wings, and a taller figure with insectoid wings crouching tenderly behind them — tangled together in a spontaneous, joyful pile on a tiled floor. Fiona Staples renders the warmth between them with effortless intimacy, the glowing alien landscape visible through the background a gentle reminder that this family's universe is anything but ordinary. Brian K. Vaughan and Staples continue to make Saga feel like the rare science-fantasy story where the heart matters just as much as the cosmos around it.
