This French-language collection of Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples' Saga — Tome 2, published by Urban Comics in 2013 — opens with a striking pink-toned cover depicting a lone figure in flowing red robes, his face half-wrapped in a crimson cloth, seated amid scattered dark feathers. Staples' artwork captures a mood of quiet, wounded intensity, the medallion at the figure's chest and the dark wing fragments around him hinting at a world where beauty and danger are inseparable. A wonderful entry point into one of the most visually distinctive science-fantasy series of its era.
