Sad Sack Comics #249
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePoor Sad Sack has outdone himself this time — the cover by George Baker shows our hapless hero having crashed clean through the floorboards while attempting to lift a barbell, sending splinters flying in every direction with a resounding "KA-RUNCH." Charging through the doorway behind him is a furious, barrel-shaped sergeant who looks anything but impressed by this impromptu feat of strength. Harvey Comics' long-running military comedy was still delivering genuine laughs in 1976, and this issue — with interior work from writer Stan Kay and artist Warren Kremer — promises more of the good-natured misfortune that kept Sad Sack "loved by millions.
