“Prediction”

In "Prediction," Sad Sack’s life takes a bizarre turn when a bump on the head wipes his memory, launching him into officer training school where he excels—top of his class, a commissioned officer, and trusted aide to the formidable General Rockjaw. Fred Rhoads handles both pencils and inks for the story, bringing the absurdity and charm of this military farce to life, while George Baker’s cover captures the moment with signature Harvey flair.

With power out because of a storm, General Rockjaw dragoons the insolent Sack as a runner. Sad Sack is repeatedly mangled en route, and mixes up messages for the colonel (on maneuvers) and the general's wife (going shopping), with disastrous results.
