A delightful slice of late-1940s family humor, this Marvel Comics issue finds Rusty and her family on what looks like a lively zoo outing — a mischievous monkey has clearly escaped its cage, prompting one excited youngster to gleefully announce, "Look, Mom, this one got out!" while the rest of the gang — two stylishly dressed women, a tall fellow in a dark suit, and a couple of smaller kids — react with a mix of alarm and amusement. The cheerful yellow cover perfectly captures the warm, comedic tone that made this series a charming read in 1949. With all-new stories inside, including "Johnny's Dizzy Day!," written by Stan Lee with art and inks by Harvey Kurtzman, there's real creative talent packed into this ten-cent package.
