Bill is minding Baby Badger and to keep him happy Rupert buys a balloon from the pedlar. When the balloon starts deflating he goes to the Old Professor who gives him some special pellets which reinflate the balloon far lighter than air. The chums tie the balloon around the baby's waist and go off to play. When Mrs. Badger arrives they realize that the powerful balloon has carried the baby away. Everyone chases across the countryside, on foot and with the Professor in his motorboat, finally catching the baby just as he is about to descend into the lake.
