This July 1955 Dell issue features a warm photo cover of Roy Rogers himself, relaxed and smiling in his trademark fringed jacket, colorful beaded necklace, and cowboy hat — tin cup and plate in hand, looking every bit the affable frontier hero fans adored. Inside, Gaylord Du Bois's script for "Gunfire at Drygulch" is brought to life by the pencils of John Buscema, inked by Mario Acquaviva. A fine slice of mid-1950s Western comics entertainment at its ten-cent best.
