Roy Rogers and Trigger #96

This 1955 Dell issue brings the action right to the cover with a striking photo image of Roy Rogers — dressed in his signature western outfit and white hat — wrestling a gun away from a rugged villain in a tense, close-quarters struggle. The raw physicality of the confrontation makes it clear that Rogers isn't waiting around for trouble to come to him. With a story titled "Ghost Town Treasure" and interior art by the talented John Buscema, this is a fine example of Dell's western comics at their most entertaining.
