Carol's boyfriend is not very romantic and they eventually have a row over the wording on her birthday cake. She wants it to say something different, like "This Is My Lovely Day", but Ralph doesn't see anything wrong with just having "Happy Birthday' written on it. She goes to the baker's shop herself and thinks she's found love at first sight when she sees the man behind the counter.
