The wonder drug that made timid people brave has worn off for Dick and Margie. They think it is the drug that made them successful. Cleo knows that if Dick fails when he opens at the Palatial Theatre, he will walk out of her life. Just before he begins to play, Cleo walks on stage and kisses him. Realizing that Cleo thinks he is wonderful, even without the drug, Dick plays his trumpet as never before. Seeing what happened to Dick also gives Margie the confidence to seek out Josh.
